~A journey walked by the heart~

What is Flânerie?

Flânerie is a personal life documentary
that records the way of living itself
through travel, food, culture, and encounters.

Flânerie is not a media project for traveling the world.

It is a record of traveling through life.

I am not just moving from place to place.
Each time I cross a border,
values collapse, emotions tremble,
and my true self is slowly exposed.

And the essence of travel always converges into one question.
Where can I breathe most naturally?
In front of whom can I exist without being someone?

This media is
the process of reconstructing myself through the world itself.

Why Flânerie?

A flâneur is
someone who walks without purpose, observes, feels, and thinks.

My journey is not about consuming destinations like a checklist.
Emotion over purpose.
Chance over efficiency.
Intuition over correctness.

An alley I wandered into.
A conversation that happened by chance.
A night without a shared language.
A moment saved by someone’s kindness.

Each of these moments
quietly rewrites my way of living.

What exists here is not
success formulas,
nor a perfect lifestyle.

What exists here is
the real process of one human being
who hesitates, struggles, breaks, and stands up again.

At times,
I lived in a world that demanded strength,
leaving my own emotions behind.

Crying or being weak
felt somehow like losing.
So I tried to
put emotions into words, analyze them,
and process them neatly.

But during my travels, I encountered it again and again.
People who welcomed me without explanation.
Places that required no role, no title, no achievement.
Places that simply said, “You can be here.”

In those moments, I realized:
The Home people are searching for
is not a country, not a job, not a map.
It exists within relationships where the heart loosens.

In 2019, a short study abroad in Russia
broke my world once.

Language, culture, distance, loneliness.
The moment I touched the outside of Japan’s normality,
I could no longer return to where I was.

Since then, I have chosen
a life that fixes nothing in place.

Now, as I move across the world,
I leave this living record
through video, text, and voice.

Not to become someone’s correct answer,
but to help someone regain the courage to live their own life.

And one day, I hope
to become a place for someone else.
Even if I cannot save them with words,
just by sitting beside them.

The theme is:
“Live as if you travel. Work as if you are moved. Connect from the heart.”

Where will I go?
Who will I meet?
What will I feel?

The answer is not on a map.

So today again,
I keep walking.
