VERSACE's Eros as a birthday present — A day choosing a perfume with David.
A new experience with perfume
Today I headed to the shopping mall near Delisi to buy David's birthday present. He said he was meeting friends tonight, so we only had a little time. Apparently he'd almost never worn perfume in his life and had never experienced buying one, so I was happy that by becoming his friend I could offer David a new experience. The other day, since his birthday was near, I suggested we go look at perfumes together and we spent about an hour in a perfume shop trying various scents; afterward he told me it had been a very fresh and new experience for him. That really made me happy.
He liked several of the perfumes I recommended, especially Chanel Bleu and Prada Carbon. Maybe he was still hesitant, because he didn't pick up bottles himself to smell; he only sniffed the ones I suggested with a "How about this?" Among them, his favorite was VERSACE's Eros. Eros is also a scent I like, but to me now it feels a bit too young or too fresh. But since David liked it, we decided to buy that.
Decided on Eau de Parfum
Today was the final decision about which type of Eros to get: Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, or Parfum. We smelled each one and ultimately chose the middle option, Eau de Parfum. I also explained how projection and longevity are inversely related.
David kept insisting that absolutely not the big one, the small one would be fine. Even when I explained that twice the amount was only 100 lari more and that it would be a waste not to take it, he was like, "No, it's okay." I thought he tends to be reserved.
But in the end, it's often the giver who is happier than the recipient. Also, I've recently thought that precisely because you're young you shouldn't hold back; if you're always reserved you'll miss opportunities. Of course you don't want to trouble others, but a birthday present isn't a bother at all. So I think you shouldn't hold back.
Perfumes are cheaper in Japan
I was able to buy it at 20% off in the sale. When I checked on Amazon Japan, Japan was overwhelmingly cheaper. Maybe because the yen is trusted, import prices become reasonable. When I saw perfumes in Azerbaijan before, the prices were insanely high compared to actual dollars, and I wondered who would buy them.
Moncler Homme and Hoshino Resort
After successfully buying and having Eros gift-wrapped, I looked at perfumes for myself. I was checking out the popular perfumes I saw on TikTok and such, and the one I liked most was Valentino's. Most of the recommended perfumes weren't my type, but I thought maybe that in itself is my individuality.
The one I thought was the best was Moncler Homme. Maybe because it's woody, it had an indescribable depth and weight and an elegant scent. It smelled like it would go perfectly with the sofa by the bonfire at Hoshino Resort's Kai Poroto in Hokkaido.
Terre d'Hermès
There was a perfume on sale at 50% off. Among them was Terre d'Hermès, so I was interested. It's one of my favorite perfumes and I've liked it for a long time, but I hadn't had the chance to buy it. Since it was a good opportunity, I thought I might buy it this time.

I looked into it in various ways and was surprised that even with the sale it was cheaper to buy it in Japan. But since it was a good opportunity and my perfume was almost used up, I decided to buy a new one.
In the end my hands were covered with all sorts of perfume scents and I thought it must smell really strong. I went to a cafe and washed my hands with soap in the restroom, but the scent still lingered.
After writing a bit on my blog at the cafe, I bought chicken at the supermarket and returned to my room. That was the day.
