A stillness like Howl's Moving Castle — to the world's oldest Albanian church.
To the neighboring town of Kish

Today was my second day in Sheki. I decided to go to the neighboring town of Kish. This place is recognized as one of the locations with the world's oldest Albanian church and is very quiet. I called a taxi and headed to Kish.
The Albanian church in Kish

When I arrived at the Albanian church there was nobody there and I was the only tourist. It was truly quiet and peaceful. The church stood with gardens and benches nearby, so it felt like the church was standing in the middle of a park.

It felt like Sophie's little house from Howl's Moving Castle. The chirping of birds and the sound of the wind coming and going — that was all. The scents were clear and the air really tasted delicious.

I stayed there for about 30 minutes, looking inside the church and taking photos. How did the people of old build this church and how has it been renovated? Seeing that made me feel the history. I really felt glad that I visited.

I decided to buy a magnet as a souvenir. I thought I'd give it to a friend when I go to Georgia. You can only buy it here, so it was a good purchase.
The taxi won't come!
On the way back, even when I called a taxi with the taxi app there was no response at all. And none could be found!
I asked someone nearby in Russian, 'The taxi isn't coming — how should I get back?' and that person said to someone else something like, 'Take this kid to the center! Five manats!' So in the end I got into a complete stranger's car and went to the center.
When we arrived I gave him 5 manats. He had a beaming smile as if to say he'd done an easy job. It was a funny smile that mixed happiness with a 'Yes! I just made money easily' feeling.
